When Is National Taco Day in 2027? First Tuesday, Not October 4

National Taco Day 2027 is Tuesday, October 5. National Day Calendar moved the observance to the first Tuesday of October in 2024; stale listings still show October 4.

In brief

National Taco Day 2027 falls on Tuesday, October 5, because National Day Calendar and Taco Bell replaced the old fixed October 4 date with the first Tuesday of October in September 2024. Aggregator pages that still print October 4 are describing the pre-2024 rule, not next year's observance.

When it falls

Tuesday, October 5, 2027

The first Tuesday of October, every year, since National Day Calendar and Taco Bell announced the change on September 17, 2024.

October 4, 2027 is a Monday, not a Tuesday. Any 2027 page that lists October 4 has not adopted the 2024 rule change.

The 2027 date

National Taco Day 2027 is Tuesday, October 5. That is the first Tuesday of October in 2027 under the rule National Day Calendar adopted with Taco Bell in September 2024.

The full history of the move, the stale October 4 listings, and the pre-2024 founding chain are on the main National Taco Day guide. National Nachos Day follows on November 6 on a fixed calendar date.

Why October 4 still shows up in search

From 2009 through 2023 the observance was fixed on October 4. Secondary calendar sites copied that date for years, and many have not refreshed their templates since the 2024 announcement. October 4, 2027 would be a Monday, which is one quick check that a listing is still on the old rule.

Taco Bell and Del Taco both ran 2025 promotions on Tuesday, October 7, not October 4. Treat chain deal pages as the live signal once they publish, not a copied October 4 line from an aggregator.
