The range horoscope sites quote
AstroStyle, Farmers' Almanac, and Britannica's zodiac material all place Libra in late September and most of October, typically September 23 through October 22 in tropical charts. That window sits between Virgo dates and Scorpio dates on this site's zodiac cluster.
Like Virgo and Scorpio, Libra's tropical boundaries can wobble by a day at the edges in some years because the equinox anchor drifts with leap-year math. Printed ranges are accurate for most birthdays and unreliable within about a day of either ingress.
Sidereal and astronomical Libra
Vedic astrology assigns Tula (Libra) to a later portion of the calendar, commonly cited around mid-October through mid-November, offset from tropical Libra by precession the same way Virgo dates and sidereal Kanya diverge.
Astronomers using IAU constellation borders see yet another schedule: the Sun crosses the stars named Libra for a shorter interval than the tropical sign's thirty-degree arc. That mismatch is the same class of question NASA "13th sign" stories describe, not a recent discovery.
